Red, White, and Blue

I've had these blue shorts for many years now, and I never wear them. What a perfect day to pull these babies out of my closet and wear them with a red shirt! Needless to say, I decided to go all out. I know in my previous post I spoke of being bitter, but why not celebrate? It was a very hot day, but we had a lot of fun in the sun!

 Btw, I love these Tory Burch flip flops. I could own them in every pattern & color. Obsessed for sure.

This is the first 4th of July that I won't be at my cottage for the holiday. Call me bitter, but I am not in a very celebratory type of mood this year. However, I still like to dress the part (discretely). I have been meticulously picking out an outfit to wear tomorrow, because I will still be enjoying the festivities in Illinois. Above are some cute things I found to celebrate the holiday is a classy, discrete way :)

Side Braid on a Hot Day

I begged Matt to take some snapshots of my outfit before dinner Thursday evening. He was a good sport, considering it was about 102 degrees outside. It was terrible!! I enjoy hot weather, but this was too hot. We had a lovely dinner, wine, and great conversation with some friends :) It was the perfect way to celebrate the upcoming weekend! This past Friday and Saturday were jam-packed with parties and the Jimmy Buffett concert. However, today is a lazy Sunday, and I absolutely love it. I need to rest up for this long week ahead!
