Dear Santa

Dear Santa

Well, is it that obvious?!
 Nearly everything I am eyeing this Christmas has an adorable "T" on it. Tory Burch has some adorable gift ideas and finds for the holiday season. How can a girl resist?! ;)

Regardless of the adorable emblem, these particular finds are on the top of my wish list, and I'm sure will be on the top of many! Santa may not be able to bring me all of these goodies for Christmas, but one can dream!

Pony Parade

{Pony Blouse, Nordstrom; Black pants, H&M; Black Cardigan, Express; Black Flats, Tory Burch; Bag, Louis Vuitton; Bracelets, Tory Burch & Kate Spade NY}

A few months ago, I spotted this cute blouse at Nordstrom. I wanted it so bad, but I didn't want to spend the money. It was not too expensive, but I certainly didn't need anymore blouses (I'm a collector, I've been told). Anyway, Nordstrom was having their half-yearly sale, and I was browsing through the racks. Obviously, I had my hands full of amazing finds. All of them, I did not need. Then, shoved in the middle of the rack, there was THE blouse, and it was in my size! I was amazed and thought it was "meant to be" and had to get it! It was half off too!

The bold lip was a spur of the moment thing. It added a little color to my colorless ensemble. :)

Casual Friday

{Cheetah print blouse, Nordstrom Rack; White Coat, T.J. Maxx, Skinny Jeans, Abercrombie & Fitch; Glitter Booties, Barefeet shoes, here; Black Satchel, Tory Burch, here, mine is the Large}

Most recently, I have been loving candles! I find that candles really relax me after an exhausting day and are great for mindfulness :) This Yankee Candle "Buttercream" is one of my new favorites.
The candle on the right is from Henri Bendel. Also an amazing place for pretty candles!

Hope everyone experiences some mindfulness this weekend -

Rustic Style

Rustic Style

This outfit was inspired by my mom's plaid shirt that we found the other day. I like this Madewell one above, but hopefully my mom's can make an appearance on the blog soon!
She says to me, "do you even KNOW how old this is??" I guess that shows my age too?
One day I will purchase a spiked necklace. It can make any look more edgy, and those Acne boots. I die!

Pop of Hot Pink

{Blouse, Nordstrom Rack; Pink Tank, Victoria's Secret PINK; Hot Pink Jeans, Target; Flats, Tory Burch, Necklace and Bracelet, Tiffany & Co; Nails, OPI "mod about you"}

My future sister-in-law asked me last week if I believe it is too late in the year to wear mint colored jeans. I said, heck no! Who cares if it is after Labor day? With trying to keep up to date with fashion, I have reviewed many articles noting that wearing white after Labor Day is an out-dated "no." If it's okay to wear white after labor day now, why not other colors?! As of late, I am wearing my hot pink jeans. The temperature is still in the 80's! As for the mint jeans, she can wear those throughout the entire winter, in my opinion, with a warm sweater and boots.

Tomorrow my fiance is coming home for the weekend, and we are going to celebrate our engagement with some family!
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend :)

Preppy Bargain Shopper

{White Button Up, A&F; Skinny Jeans, Nordstrom Rack; Tennis Shoes, Tory Burch; Navy Duffle Bag, Coach; Sunnies, Chanel; Bracelets and Necklace, Tory Burch, Tiffany & Co}

I found these adorable Tory Burch kicks at Nordstrom Rack when I was in Denver last month. They're super comfortable, and I really love the navy color. The price wasn't bad either ;)

I definitely label myself as a bargain shopper. However, I will admit that I may buy things just BECAUSE they're on sale. That's a big mistake on my part! At first, I thought these shoes were going to be one of those purchases (emotions that usually occur after an impulse sale purchase include: shame, guilt, and regret), but the shoes turned out to be one of my favorite sale finds as of late!

I have developed several skills to help my "sale buying" problem. First, I choose to decide how great the sale is. For example: Is the item on sale for half off? Or just 10% off? Secondly, I debate whether the item is a rare find our something that is in abundance. If it is a rare find, then that makes it even harder to put down.. Lastly, I walk around the store with the item(s) I wish to purchase. Sometimes, actually, a lot of the time, I will either get sick of looking at the item, or I will realize I don't want it that bad. Beware: This strategy does not work 100% of the time. Especially after a stressful day or after a glass of wine!

Happy Saturday!
I will be watching movies and working on some case studies tonight. I'm such a party animal ;)

Surprises in Denver

{Floral Blouse, Nordstrom Here; Mint Jean Shorts, Forever 21 Similar Here; Sandals, ALDO; Purple Crossbody, Juicy Couture, Love this one by Rebecca Minkoff Here; Bracelets, Tory Burch Here, Tiffany & Co.}

{Amazing food from a local pub in Denver. The pizza was gluten-free too!! SO YUM}

I had such a lovely time in Denver this past weekend. These pictures were taken at the zoo. The weather was perfect! Originally, I was going to pair the blouse with jean shorts or white. However, I put the mint shorts next to the blouse, and thought to myself, "hmm this could work." I believe it did!
I'm really into the pop of diverse colors from the mint jeans and the purple purse. Lately, I love mixing and matching colors.

I also have an announcement to make..
I'M ENGAGED!! :D
Needless to say, I am a very happy lady!!

Hope everyone is having a lovely week like I am!!

As I've mentioned in my previous post, I am heading to Colorado for the weekend to visit my lovely boyfriend! This will be my first time traveling ALONE on a plane (I have always traveled with someone else). Therefore, I am a little nervous. Although, I had quite a fun time deciding on what to wear to the airport!
I'll admit, I am a tad obsessed with looking at celebrities 'airport looks' and trying to recreate them on a daily basis. So, I actually had the advantage of creating a real airport look!
There are a few tips I've learned and decided when choosing an outfit for travel:
1). Minimal Jewelry - It's just easier in general to bring minimal jewelry on any short trip. Even though it is tempting to bring everything!
2). Layers - I am always cold or I'm hot. Therefore, I am bringing a blazer to wear over my blouse. I chose a blouse, because the sleeves can also be rolled up, and it is lightweight.
3). A large but functional bag - I love my Louis Vuitton Artsy, because it's classic, goes with everything, and can fit everything in it too! It's a good piece to bring, because unlike a large tote, I can bring my large, but beautiful (lol) bag to dinner, shopping, etc. on my trip!
4). Jeans - because they're comfortable but still put together. Leggings always work as well!
5). Flats - Easy to walk in and chic.
There's the long reasoning to why I chose this outfit.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend, too!

Geometric Shapes

{Blouse, Michael Michael Kors; Skinny Trousers, H&M; Blue Pumps, Liz Claiborne; Bracelets, T&Co, Handmade; Nail Polish, Revlon "Mint"; Navy Duffle Bag, Coach}

I am about to say something most of you will not want to read, so, beware!
I was very excited to wake up Monday morning being a little chilled. Even though it was difficult to get out of my cozy, warm bed, it was not difficult deciding what to wear. I purchased this blouse at Nordstrom Rack on my birthday, and it was finally cold enough to wear it! Ok, ok, so I'm a sucker for cooler weather. I used to be the person who despised fall, but now I LOVE it. I love layers, and I love long sleeves. I also love rain...but not being rained on ;)

This weekend I am going to visit my boyfriend in Colorado. I haven't seen him since the beginning of July when he was on leave. I cannot wait for Friday! Let's hope this week flies by!
