Pony Parade

{Pony Blouse, Nordstrom; Black pants, H&M; Black Cardigan, Express; Black Flats, Tory Burch; Bag, Louis Vuitton; Bracelets, Tory Burch & Kate Spade NY}

A few months ago, I spotted this cute blouse at Nordstrom. I wanted it so bad, but I didn't want to spend the money. It was not too expensive, but I certainly didn't need anymore blouses (I'm a collector, I've been told). Anyway, Nordstrom was having their half-yearly sale, and I was browsing through the racks. Obviously, I had my hands full of amazing finds. All of them, I did not need. Then, shoved in the middle of the rack, there was THE blouse, and it was in my size! I was amazed and thought it was "meant to be" and had to get it! It was half off too!

The bold lip was a spur of the moment thing. It added a little color to my colorless ensemble. :)

Fall is in The Air

 {Sweater, Michael by Michael Kors; Floral Blouse, Nordstrom, here; Leggings, Victoria's Secret; Riding Boots, Lucky Brand; Bag, Louis Vuitton}

I have been waiting awhile for this day to arrive.. The day where I felt it was acceptable, and late enough in the year, to wear my riding boots! I've been looking at them for the past month, and I felt like today was an appropriate day to bust them out. To my dismay, the weather was pretty warm today in Chicago, and I probably did not need to wear them. However, it was cold in the morning when I took these pictures, and well, It's practically October!
Anyway, most comfy sweater EVER. It looks super cute belted too. Found this last year, and I'm glad I  found it in my pile of sweaters, because it's the perfect time of year to wear it!
The floral adds a touch of feminine and doesn't make the outfit look so winter-y (which I'm NOT looking forward to, btw).

TGtomorrowisF!
Internship, school, and work have been crazy. I am trying to find a happy medium between balancing all of this, and still sharing my outfits on this blog. I either need better time management, or I need an extra day added to the week!

Pop of Hot Pink

{Blouse, Nordstrom Rack; Pink Tank, Victoria's Secret PINK; Hot Pink Jeans, Target; Flats, Tory Burch, Necklace and Bracelet, Tiffany & Co; Nails, OPI "mod about you"}

My future sister-in-law asked me last week if I believe it is too late in the year to wear mint colored jeans. I said, heck no! Who cares if it is after Labor day? With trying to keep up to date with fashion, I have reviewed many articles noting that wearing white after Labor Day is an out-dated "no." If it's okay to wear white after labor day now, why not other colors?! As of late, I am wearing my hot pink jeans. The temperature is still in the 80's! As for the mint jeans, she can wear those throughout the entire winter, in my opinion, with a warm sweater and boots.

Tomorrow my fiance is coming home for the weekend, and we are going to celebrate our engagement with some family!
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend :)

Leopard Smoothie

{ Cropped Sweater, Nordstrom Rack; Grey Tank Top, A&F; Leopard Print Pants, Target; Red Flats, Ellie Tahari; Bag, Louis Vuitton; Bracelets, Tory Burch and Tiffany & Co}

I threw this outfit together last night after getting home.. at 11 PM (I have to lay out my clothes the night before). Monday's are going to be brutal for the next 16 weeks, but let's pray I can get through everything without losing my mind! I was surprised with how good this outfit looked after putting it on, so snapping some pictures was a must ;)
Anyway, I didn't have time to stop at Starbucks this morning (although I wish), but I reuse the cups they give you. So, my mom made me a yummy smoothie for breakfast!

As I've mentioned in my previous post, I am heading to Colorado for the weekend to visit my lovely boyfriend! This will be my first time traveling ALONE on a plane (I have always traveled with someone else). Therefore, I am a little nervous. Although, I had quite a fun time deciding on what to wear to the airport!
I'll admit, I am a tad obsessed with looking at celebrities 'airport looks' and trying to recreate them on a daily basis. So, I actually had the advantage of creating a real airport look!
There are a few tips I've learned and decided when choosing an outfit for travel:
1). Minimal Jewelry - It's just easier in general to bring minimal jewelry on any short trip. Even though it is tempting to bring everything!
2). Layers - I am always cold or I'm hot. Therefore, I am bringing a blazer to wear over my blouse. I chose a blouse, because the sleeves can also be rolled up, and it is lightweight.
3). A large but functional bag - I love my Louis Vuitton Artsy, because it's classic, goes with everything, and can fit everything in it too! It's a good piece to bring, because unlike a large tote, I can bring my large, but beautiful (lol) bag to dinner, shopping, etc. on my trip!
4). Jeans - because they're comfortable but still put together. Leggings always work as well!
5). Flats - Easy to walk in and chic.
There's the long reasoning to why I chose this outfit.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend, too!

Sequins Obsessed

 Outfit Choice #1
 Outfit Choice #2

{Photo 1: Glitter Flats, T.J. Maxx; IKat scarf, gift; Other Photos: Sequin Sweater, H&M; Black Shorts, Trina Turk; Jean Skirt, Hollister; Flats, Tory Burch; Bracelets, Kate Spade NY and Tory Burch}

I am the definition of a 'girly girl' in which I love glitter, sparkles, and sequins. I bet you couldn't guess? ;)
I snapped up this sweater at H&M a few weekends ago shopping with one of my girlfriends. It was the perfect opportunity to wear it Thursday, because the weather was in the low 70's by evening! However, I wanted to pair it with shorts or a skirt. I opted for the black shorts, but I think it looks cute with both options. Needless to say, I am loving this sweater (and taking pictures of the sweater lol).
 I cannot wait for the weather to cool down, so I can wear this beauty more often :)

Have a wonderful weekend, beauties!

Disney Princess

Blouse (Nordstrom Rack), Skinnies (A&F), Skinny Belt (Tory Burch, here), Bag (Louis Vuitton Artsy, MM), Patent Leather Flats (Coach), Silver Ring (Tiffany & Co.), Other Rings (Vintage, Handmade), Bracelets (From Boutiques in Colorado and Vintage), Sunnies (Burberry)

The title of this post isn't saying that I am a Disney princess (Although, wouldn't that be amazing?!), but rather my blouse has a Cinderella theme on it! There are little pictures of a prince and princess, carriage, and little mice! I'm in love with this blouse. I bought it this weekend at the Rack. I could NOT leave without it.
I also just ordered this Tory Burch belt from Nordstrom a week or so ago, and I love it.. It makes a simple t-shirt and jeans looks so sophisticated. I love that belts are back in style now!

I find myself gravitating more towards casual, simple outfits, almost always, unless I have a special event to attend. When stalking numerous fashion blogs, I envy their dressy looks (i.e., Blair from Atlantic-Pacific, LOVE!), but I have recently come to embrace my every day, girl-next-door style.

Do you consider yourself to have more of a dressy style or casual?
