Dear Santa

Dear Santa

Well, is it that obvious?!
Nearly everything I am eyeing this Christmas has an adorable "T" on it. Tory Burch has some adorable gift ideas and finds for the holiday season. How can a girl resist?! ;)

Regardless of the adorable emblem, these particular finds are on the top of my wish list, and I'm sure will be on the top of many! Santa may not be able to bring me all of these goodies for Christmas, but one can dream!

Rustic Style

Rustic Style

This outfit was inspired by my mom's plaid shirt that we found the other day. I like this Madewell one above, but hopefully my mom's can make an appearance on the blog soon!
She says to me, "do you even KNOW how old this is??" I guess that shows my age too?
One day I will purchase a spiked necklace. It can make any look more edgy, and those Acne boots. I die!

These girly and comfy finds are the perfect combination for cold, rainy weekend days.
As I sit in my bed, studying, and contemplating making another cup of coffee, I think about how wonderful it would be to have all of these items around or on me right now! A girl can dream :D
Hope everyone has a fun, relaxing weekend.

Engagement Celebration

We had an engagement celebration last Friday with brothers, sisters, grandparents, and the future wedding party! It was wonderful and such a great time.
We cannot wait to start planning the big day!
Below is a very similar look to what I was wearing during the party. Rather than the gorgeous cross necklace shown below, I wore a dainty necklace that my father gave my mother for their first anniversary. It made the day that more special.

Below are some snap shots from our lovely evening <3

My mom put together the whole party, and she did such a fantastic job. I love my mom!

As I've mentioned in my previous post, I am heading to Colorado for the weekend to visit my lovely boyfriend! This will be my first time traveling ALONE on a plane (I have always traveled with someone else). Therefore, I am a little nervous. Although, I had quite a fun time deciding on what to wear to the airport!
I'll admit, I am a tad obsessed with looking at celebrities 'airport looks' and trying to recreate them on a daily basis. So, I actually had the advantage of creating a real airport look!
There are a few tips I've learned and decided when choosing an outfit for travel:
1). Minimal Jewelry - It's just easier in general to bring minimal jewelry on any short trip. Even though it is tempting to bring everything!
2). Layers - I am always cold or I'm hot. Therefore, I am bringing a blazer to wear over my blouse. I chose a blouse, because the sleeves can also be rolled up, and it is lightweight.
3). A large but functional bag - I love my Louis Vuitton Artsy, because it's classic, goes with everything, and can fit everything in it too! It's a good piece to bring, because unlike a large tote, I can bring my large, but beautiful (lol) bag to dinner, shopping, etc. on my trip!
4). Jeans - because they're comfortable but still put together. Leggings always work as well!
5). Flats - Easy to walk in and chic.
There's the long reasoning to why I chose this outfit.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend, too!

Recreating Brooklyn Blonde

Brooklyn Blonde

I look at the lovely fashion blog Brooklyn Blonde everyday. I LOVE her style. Every post has me in complete awe. However, when I spotted this post the other day, I was stunned. I am merely obsessed with everything about this look. So, I decided to recreate it myself :) Now if only these items would magically appear in my closet!

Stars and Stripes

Stars & Stripes

This is the first 4th of July that I won't be at my cottage for the holiday. Call me bitter, but I am not in a very celebratory type of mood this year. However, I still like to dress the part (discretely). I have been meticulously picking out an outfit to wear tomorrow, because I will still be enjoying the festivities in Illinois. Above are some cute things I found to celebrate the holiday is a classy, discrete way :)

Happy Independence Day!

Random Wish List

Random Wish List

Aztec Print Jean Shorts
£40 - selectfashion.co.uk

Black satchel handbag
£97 - johnlewis.com

Alexander McQueen skull jewelry
$295 - couture.zappos.com

I decided it was about time to post another wish list :) There aren't many things that I have been hoping for lately, because I still want all the things on my previous wish lists..lol. However, while I was in Michigan, I went to this beautiful boutique, and there was a sequined vest there. Needless to say, it was way too expensive for me, but now I can't stop hunting down a less expensive version! This one above is less expensive than the one I saw, but still a bit impractical/ pricey. Decisions, decisions!

These aztec print shorts are so adorable, and they're jean too! How cute is that?!

Also, I've been eyeing Cambridge satchels for a long time. I saw this polka dot one browsing awhile back (not Cambridge), and I couldn't stop looking at it! It's too cute!

Last but not least, I've been loving an Alexander McQueen bangle, but they're way too pricey.

These "wish list" items will be on my list for quite some time. However, my birthday is coming up soon ;)

Hope everyone has a nice week!

I couldn't go very long without making a wish list! I have my eyeing some statement necklaces from Henri Bendel. They're so pretty! I really love the one above.
In previous posts (if you've seen my blog before), I've mentioned how I want a pair of Tory Burch Reva Flats. Well, these brown ones are completely amazing! A matching wallet would be pretty fabulous too ;)
Lastly, I  want a nice, light weight patterned scarf. Rebeccaminkoff.com is having a sale currently (ends tomorrow), and there are several silk patterened scarves I really like! This Alexander McQueen one is aiming high. Isn't it so pretty, though?!

Tomorrow is FRIDAY! My bf comes home on leave Saturday for a whole month.
Oh, I have been looking forward to this weekend for a long, long time!

Recreating My Look

Dress (F21) and Nude Heels (Coach)

It was my step sister's high school graduation party on Sunday. Even though it wasn't my party, I still wanted to wear this coral dress I bought at Forever 21 over a month ago. To my surprise, my friend Mary showed up in the same colored dress! We were twins for the day lol.

Below I recreated my look, because some of the items I wore are still available (i.e., mint necklace and sequins straw clutch). My dress was also a big hit at the party. I was so flattered!

My practicum class starts tonight . . 9-11 PM (I know, ridiculous, right?), and I don't want to go! I just want to cuddle with my dog and watch baseball. Oh, that is life, I guess.

Random Wish List

Random Wish List

Quiksilver top, $55
Marc by Marc Jacobs silk blouse, $250
Boutique 9 flat sandals, $79
Rebecca Minkoff mini shoulder bag, $295
Tory burch jewelry, $165

Well, here is my weekly wish list. Obviously, I have found new things to lust over.. Really, though, what else is new? ;) I have been wanting to borrow my mom's chambray top from the 80's. So, I put it on my wish list as a reminder!

I also have my eye on this lovely Tory Burch bracelet. I have been wanting a link bracelet for quite some time (the ones from J Crew were my first love), but I have not mustered up the courage to buy one.I love the "T" emblem on this one though, and it had a nautical vibe!
I saw these color block sandals in one of the magazines this month, and I just had to find them on Polyvore. Rebecca Minkoff also has some similar ones, but they're way more expensive than the Boutique 9 ones above.

I put another Minkoff on my wishlist, because well, I am obsessed with bags, and I would love every single one of the designer's bags.

However, I just ordered one a week ago from Nordstrom - Pics soon to come ;)

Last but not least, this beautiful, gorgeous, quirky Marc by Marc Jacobs sleeveless, polka dot blouse. It's amazing, and and I can't stop staring at it..

Some outfit pics coming soon as well!
