Being Creative

{T-Shirt, Victoria's Secret PINK; Knit Tank, Macy's; Shorts, Charlotte Russe, couple years ago; Sandals, ALDO; Duffle Bag, Coach Classic, Jewelry, from boutiques and vintage}

The title of this post is very fitting. I was being creative and threw this outfit together at the last minute. My mom gave me the knit tank top last summer, and I never had a chance to wear it. Well, I finally thought of a layering option that suited my style!
Part of me loves this look. Another part isn't sure if it looks like a fashion hit or a fashion miss?

The belt is vintage - My mom wore it when I was a baby! Pretty cool, huh?

Finally, I'm super excited about my new bag - I received at 25% off coupon for Coach in the mail a couple weeks ago, and I just couldn't resist. :) Love the classic look!

Pre-Work Coffee Clutch

{Ruffled Top, Forever 21; Black Tank Top, American Eagle; Cropped Pants, Express, Old; Colorblock Shoes, Liz Claiborne; Duffle Bag, Coach}

Today started off to a good start. I was ready before I had to leave for my internship. So, my mom and I sat on the back porch, drank some coffee, and had some little chats. It was so relaxing and out of the usual routine. I loved it! Plus, it wasn't hot outside, due to it being 7:30 in the morning. haha.
Sometimes switching up the morning, and small things like having coffee outside on a gorgeous day, can really make the morning 10 times better!

These cropped pants were from my mom. I found them in my drawer last night and just HAD to wear them! It was like going shopping in my own dresser ;)
Found these lovely Liz Claiborne shoes at T.J. Maxx yesterday for an amazing clearance price of $13! I was surprised no one snatched them up sooner! They're very similar to the blue Liz Claiborne shoes I wore in a previous post.
Last but not least, I ordered this beautiful navy blue Coach duffle bag last week as an early birthday gift to myself! A girl can never have too many purses.

Hope everyone had a splendid Monday!

Recreating My Look

Dress (F21) and Nude Heels (Coach)

It was my step sister's high school graduation party on Sunday. Even though it wasn't my party, I still wanted to wear this coral dress I bought at Forever 21 over a month ago. To my surprise, my friend Mary showed up in the same colored dress! We were twins for the day lol.

Below I recreated my look, because some of the items I wore are still available (i.e., mint necklace and sequins straw clutch). My dress was also a big hit at the party. I was so flattered!

Straw clutch

Green necklace

My practicum class starts tonight . . 9-11 PM (I know, ridiculous, right?), and I don't want to go! I just want to cuddle with my dog and watch baseball. Oh, that is life, I guess.

Tribal Print

White Sequins Cardigan (Piperlime), Grey T-Shirt (Target), Skinny Jeans (Nordstrom Rack), Tribal Print Belt (Handmade, Boutique), Snakeskin Clutch (Rebecca Minkoff), Black Flats (Coach), Silver Necklace and Bead Bracelet (Tiffany & Co.), Bracelets (Boutiques), Rings (Vintage), Sunnies (Burberry), Nail Polish (OPI, French Quarter For Your Thoughts)

I found this tribal print beaded belt in Colorado at a local boutique there, and I was so excited when I saw it! It makes a simple t-shirt and jeans unique, and it also made the sequins cardigan less girly and a tad bit rustic. I threw this outfit together at the last minute, and it's not too bad - a very comfortable look.

I am going to my cottage in Michigan for the long weekend and won't be back until Monday night!

I hope everyone has a safe & FABULOUS holiday!

It's a Boy!

Mint Blazer and Lace Pencil Skirt (F21), Sequin Top (Greylin, C/O Piperlime), Taupe Tights (J.Crew), Bag (Balenciaga), Tan Shoes (Coach), Necklace (Vintage), Lime Quartz Ring (Macy's), Bracelets (T&Co, Antique, Handmade), Lip Gloss (Chanel, 166).

No, I am NOT expecting!! Yesterday was the baby shower for my soon-to-be-born nephew, James Marshall. Lauren, the mom-to-be, looked so cute and happy. It was great spending time and catching up with family, and they received beautiful gifts! James will be a spoiled little baby :)
The food was at a wonderful italian restaurant, and they made me a gluten-free plate too! I was so thankful.. the mimosas were amazing as well!

I was going for pastels to represent the baby shower theme. I also wanted to look really girly, because I feel it was an appropriate occasion to do so! I wanted to wear my coach sandals, and it was a bit chilly. So, I wore these taupe J.Crew tights with them (seen before with the lace pencil skirt). I think the taupe and light pink work really well together.

I can't wait to be an auntie!!
Such an exciting time
