Missoni Influence

I have been thinking of creative ways to take personal pictures of my daily outfits, because obviously my mom (photographer) isn't always available, or I'm either at work and need to find ways to take pictures of myself! Anyway, I thought this blouse had a Missoni pattern feel to it. Thoughts? Regardless, I love it!

It has been extremely hot in Chicago as of late, but tonight it is a nice temperature. Enjoying after work drinks on a restaurant outdoor patio is the perfect way to end a very busy week.

Internship - First Day

I wanted to share a quick little post about my outfit that I chose for the first day of my internship. Originally, I chose a long sleeved blouse, but it was so hot outside (at 7 AM, FYI). 

I found these blue colored cropped pants at Nordstrom Rack, and I couldn't put them down. They're perfectly cropped and appropriate for work. I just love the unique blue tone.

I was also able to wear (and effectively use) my new watch! I love it sooo much.

Everything has been so hectic, but I am still trying to keep up on my blog, because I love doing it!

Mixing Patterns

I took these photos last week. It was a cooler day out, but I still wanted to wear a more summery look. Now it's super hot outside!

I've seen a lot of ladies mixing different prints/patterns, and I wanted to do the same in more muted way. So, I opted for a striped tank with a leopard tote. I found this Rebecca Minkoff tote at Marshall's for an amazing price! I was in a comfortable mood this day, and I decided on leggings that look more spring-foward, instead of pants or jeans. At the last minute, I threw on my favorite cardigan. I love how it is covered in sequins but is still very casual.

Sorry for slacking on the posts this past week. I was in Colorado visiting my boyfriend, FINALLY seeing him after about seven months. It was wonderful :) Pics of that soon to arrive!

I was in a neon mood the day before I left last week. I meant to post these before my flight, but I ran out of time. Mostly, because I felt the need to pack my entire wardrobe and then some. My suitcase was 49 lbs, and needless to say, the largest one of the group.. Hey, I wanted to look cute for my man!

I thought the mixing of neon pink and yellow looked awesome together, and the white pants just made everything pop more. I threw this outfit together at the last minute before my LAST day of classes for the semester. I was in a good mood :) 

Four weeks off school. Then, I start summer semester and my internship. However, June is also when my boyfriend comes home on leave! Hurry up, June!!

My mom also did a wonderful fishtail braid for me. She's so great with hair :]

Are you all excited for summer? Warmer weather needs to arrive and stay in Chicago!

It's a Boy!

No, I am NOT expecting!! Yesterday was the baby shower for my soon-to-be-born nephew, James Marshall. Lauren, the mom-to-be, looked so cute and happy. It was great spending time and catching up with family, and they received beautiful gifts! James will be a spoiled little baby :)

The food was at a wonderful italian restaurant, and they made me a gluten-free plate too! I was so thankful.. the mimosas were amazing as well! 

I was going for pastels to represent the baby shower theme. I also wanted to look really girly, because I feel it was an appropriate occasion to do so! I wanted to wear my coach sandals, and it was a bit chilly. So, I wore these taupe J.Crew tights with them (seen before with the lace pencil skirt). I think the taupe and light pink work really well together. 

I can't wait to be an auntie!!
