Traverse City Getaway

Ruffled Blouse (F21, similar here), Floral Shorts (Nordstrom Rack, cute & inexpensive pair here), Sequined Tank (Express), Wedges (Tory Burch, I love this pair, here), Clutch (Louis Vuitton), Necklace (Antique), Bracelets (Juicy Couture, Kenneth Cole, Old).

Here are some goofy pictures Matt took of me before going out to dinner last weekend. We stayed at a beautiful bed & breakfast in Traverse City for a little weekend getaway. The house was amazing! I wish I took more pictures, though. It had such gorgeous Victorian decor and details :)
Sorry for the poor quality of the photos - The lighting was not sufficient, to say the least!

I love these floral shorts. I found them last year at Nordstrom Rack for around $11. They're so comfortable and still look dressy. I loved my outfit this night, even though I was told I jumped out of 1982. Hey, the 80's are back, people!!!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic week <3

Snapshots

I've been a busy bee the last couple of weeks! My boyfriend is on leave for a whole month!! Well, now three weeks. So, we've been busy doing lots of fun things. We went to Traverse City MI this past weekend (pics soon to come!), and we've been visiting family and friends all week. I also started my internship over two weeks ago along with my practicum class for school. Needless to say, my life is consumed by many things, and it's been EXTREMELY exhausting, but totally worth it! Oh, and last but not least. I am an auntie!! I'd like to welcome James Marshall to the world <3

I hope everyone has a fantastic week. I will post outfit photos from our mini vacation as soon as I can!
xx Katrina

P.S. - I was recently introduced to
Style Caster a social network site that helps users share and browse different style ideas and blogs! I am so lucky to have a link on the site, and I would definitely recommend checking it out if you love fashion!

Peach and Jean

Jean Button up (Vintage, My Mom's), T-Shirt (Target), Peach Jeans (C/O T.J. Maxx), Nude Flats (Tory Burch), Necklace (Target), Bag (Balenciaga), Sunnies (Chanel), Rings (Antiques), Nail Polish (OPI, Mod About You)

I've been seeing jean button up tops everywhere, and I vaguely remember my mom owning one when I was younger. Sure enough, she held on to it, and the top is cuter than what I remember! It is by far one of my new staples, and it also looks good with way more than I anticipated.
I have 'mistakenly'  held onto this button up everyday since I found it. .  ;)

This necklace was an amazing find at Target. It's an agate stone, and I have been looking for a longer chain, gold necklace. This is definitely the perfect amount of style but still modest. I also love its uniqueness!

The peach jeans were a fantastic steal from T.J. Maxx. My friend Mary and I both snagged up a pair as soon as we saw them (we had been on the hunt for quite some time).

Less than 7 DAYS until I can see my boyfriend!!
I hope everyone has a fabulous Friday!

Designer Look

Saw this picture of Tory Burch on "The Tory Blog," and Immediately fell in love with every single aspect of this darling outfit.

Blouse, $333
Bracelet, $35

I love the horizontal lines in Tory Burch's jeans. These ones from Top Shop are unique and just adorable. I also think the cream colored blouse tones down the rest of the outfit.
Her tonal wedges are to die for! I found a similarly cute pair that are from Rachel Zoe's collection (currently coveting, that's for sure!).
Tortoise patterned sunnies are a must for this season
and adding a chunky bracelet puts the whole look together. I really like this one from Etsy. The turquoise stone is beautiful!
And last but not least, The Tory Burch Satchel above is on the top of my wishlist. I have posted this bag several times in different colors. I would prefer any and all of them. haha! It is on my wish list.. as if I need any more bags ;)

Oh, and before I go, T.G.I.F ! !

Pastels & Lace

Blouse (my mom's closet, unsure about where she purchased it), Skirt (F21), Tights (J.Crew), Shoes (Seen in previous post), Bag (Kate Spade NY), Sunnies (Chanel), Jewelry (Vintage and Handmade), Nail Polish (OPI)

You can obviously tell that I am ready for Easter! I just love pastels. They're so girly and cheerful. I found this skirt at Forever 21 not too long ago. I just couldn't resist! I don't wear many skirts, but I fell in love with this one, because it has a vintage look to it. I can always dress it down, and make it more work appropriate by pairing it with a sweater or cardigan.
I also snatched this blouse from my mom's closet! It's so pretty, and I wanted to keep the pastel theme running throughout my outfit.
The tights were on sale after Christmas at J Crew. I was immediately intrigued by the unique taupe color and insanely marked-down clearance price. ;)
I wanted to wear minimal jewelry with this look. So, the skirt could stand out more. My mom gave me this antique ring the other day. I just love her taste!
Finally, this Kate Spade bag is perfect for school and work. It fits everything in it! I am so happy I snatched this up at the online sample sale a month or so ago..

Happy Easter & Happy Weekend!
