Internship Look

Oasis button down shirt, $60
Pink cardigan, $33
Whistles cropped pants, £95
J Crew ballet flat, $190
Dooney bourke handbag, $268
AK Anne Klein water resistant watch, $65

I have less than three weeks until I start my internship, and I am already thinking of outfits to wear! I am a nerd, I know! The dresscode is business casual. So, the first day, I will go for something low key, and see what sort of reactions are received. I'll be working at an agency, and I do not want to look overdressed or make my clients feel uncomfortable around me.
I want to wear a simple black trouser (you can't go wrong with black) and ballet flats. I thought these peach ones from J.Crew were just adorable. I am also really big into sleeveless blouses lately.. meaning I have bought a handful over the past few weeks. haha Although inappropriate to wear alone, I would pair the blouse with a fun cardigan. I have been eying this particular one at Target recently. However, I can't justify spending over $30 for a cardigan at Target. Hey, I can be frugal sometimes!
Awhile back I bought a satchel from Kate Spade on one of their online same sales, and I will probably use that bag on my first day. The satchel can fit a whole binder in it and more! I purposely searched for a bag that could fit a binder/notebook, my overly large daily planner, and all of my daily needs in it. I spotted the bag above by Dooney & Bourke, and it is a great option as well (now I want it! haha).

Finally, I need to invest in a watch. I have been looking around, and I just can't seem to buy one. I don't use a watch.. I have my phone, I work at an office, and I always have a clock near me at school or at home, but I need to see the time for sessions. So, I will have to buy one eventually.
Luckily, my mom briefly explained that she has a watch that belonged to my great grandmother. It just needs another battery. Hopefully I can get a battery for it and use that one! I am excited :)

I hope everyone is having a nice week! Tuesday's aren't very "happy," but at least it is almost the middle of the week!
I can't wait to watch the White Sox game tonight and drink some Moscato with my dad (although he doesn't drink Moscato haha).

The Windy City

Blouse (T.J. Maxx), Belt (Steve Madden), Pants (Guess, old), Necklace (F21), Sunnies (Chanel), Flats (Tory Burch), Bracelets (T&Co, Francesca's, and Vintage).

Bag (Balenciaga)

Well, I wanted to take some pretty pictures outside, but I failed to remember that I live in a south suburb of Chicago, and it is always windy this time of year...

I bought these pants years and years ago, and I they have always been huge on me. However, belts have become an increasingly important aspect of my wardrobe as of late. So, I decided to dig out the gray pants and try to rock them :)
I love the boyfriend feel, and I think the rhinestones on the back pocket are just too cute! Sticking with the boyfriend look, I paired the jeans with a baggy blouse and flats. It's a messy outfit, but indefinitely comfortable and perfect for yet another busy day!

I bought this necklace at F21 about a year ago, and it spruces up any simply, and let's be honest, boring outfit. I always get compliments on it, and I found it for about $8! I love that store!
Finally, I wanted to take a picture of my Balenciaga, because I think this bag is perfect for hectic days, and I like the combination of the ivory, gray, tan, and white with this look.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

P.S. - I apologize for my awful hair. My mom is coloring it today!

A Shopaholic's Wish List

Alright, so as if I don't already have everything I could need and more, I still manage to make a new wish list in my head daily. However, when it came down to actually making this, I had a hard time thinking of things I REALLY wanted!..But I managed to find several items, and now I can't stop thinking about them! I believe in positive thinking. So, if I make this post. I will own them some day.. ;)

I really want any pastel blouse, sequin blazer, and glitter skirt. These particular ones just looked so pretty! On the other hand, I do want a pair of Christian Louboutins (especially in nude), and that beautiful Alexander Wang Rocco Leather Bag . .
The Kate Spade glitter mugs are so so cute. I also love this Chanel polish color. It reminds me of Tiffany's <3 , and I want a Tory Burch Iphone case, but I will not pay the price, and hoping I'll become lucky and find it on sale!

Sorry for the short post, incredibly hectic week. School is taking over my existence!

Early Spring Arrival

Cardigan (Express, old), Scarf (Tory Burch), Bag (Kate Spade), Leggings (Victoria's Secret), T-Shirt (Target), Sunnies (Burberry, old), Rain Boots (not pictured, Burberry)

It has been so gorgeous in Chicago recently! I know it is a little early to expect this for the next month or so, but a few beautiful days is better than none! I wanted to take some shots outside, because the sunlight makes everything look so much better. It was a little windy yesterday, and my hair kept flying in my face, oh well!

I just recently got this bag online during the Kate Spade sample sale. I couldn't pass it up! It is so big, and fits everything I need. The saddle colored leather is breath-taking, in my opinion.
I also returned my Burberry scarf, because it was unraveling (grr) and bought this Tory Burch wool scarf instead. It is so soft and beautiful.
I'm cheesin' in the last picture, because I am so happy it's finally warmer out! ;)

Oh, and obviously I wanted to dress incredibly comfortable for a Monday. Why not?

Pink & Orange

Blazer (Similar, Here), Sparkled V-Neck (Express), Coral Belt (J Crew), Jeggings (A&F),
Colorblock flats (Calvin Klein), Bag (Kate Spade)

This week has been fantastic, although very different from former spring breaks, I am still having a wonderful time with family, friends, and my doggy!
I decided to take a few shots in my dining room before dinner with my very good friend, Mary! I love my mom (my free, novice photographer) for snapping these for me. Also, for having impeccable decorating taste! It makes for very pretty pictures.
I just bought these Calvin Klein flats last weekend. I LOVE them, and they are so comfortable. Flats usual rub on my heel or tops of my feet, but these don't at all! They're not bad looking either ;)
I wanted to mix pink and orange together, because well, why not?! I think it ended up looking really fun! I made sure to not wear much color in the rest of the outfit (besides the belt).

For once, I didn't have to wear a coat! I am so excited for spring!

Does anyone know of black flats that are inexpensive and pain-free? Please let me know!!

Stripe Wars

Blouse (Trouve, Nordstrom), Leggings (Juicy Couture), Boots (Tory Burch), Color Block Heels (Marc Fisher),
Stockings (old), Bag (Louis Vuitton Artsy MM), Necklace (Tiffany & Co)

Happy Monday! I wanted to take pictures outside over the weekend, but the weather was not friendly. Between the snow, wind, and partial rain, it was just impossible to take decent photos! So, I opted for some pictures in my living room and a couple in my bedroom due to time restraints. . (:

I love the contrast of the horizontal and vertical stripes on this blouse. The colors are so unique and definitely not something I would normally gravitate towards. Loving blouses lately, btw. I can't stop buying them! You can dress them up or down which is a huge convenience.

I also wanted to have a little fun and mix heels with socks.
For some reason, I like how nothing matches. It looks funky.

Accesorize

Now that I have willingly decided to spend much of my little free time looking at fashion blogs,
they have increasingly inspired me to wear (or attempt to wear) accessories on a daily basis.
Here are some photos I took the past week of my favorites!

Abercrombie & Fitch button up (old), Burberry Crinkle Scarf (similar, here), Louis Vuitton Piano Bag (vintage)

I made this bracelet for a personal touch to a daily arm party.
I hardly know what I'm doing, but it's relaxing and fun!

Bag (Zara), Scarf (Alexander McQueen)

Today, I wanted to spice up a simple leather bag with a little McQueen :)

This is a short post, but it is small things like this that make me a bit happier throughout the day.
