Accesorize

Now that I have willingly decided to spend much of my little free time looking at fashion blogs,
they have increasingly inspired me to wear (or attempt to wear) accessories on a daily basis.
Here are some photos I took the past week of my favorites!

Abercrombie & Fitch button up (old), Burberry Crinkle Scarf (similar, here), Louis Vuitton Piano Bag (vintage)

I made this bracelet for a personal touch to a daily arm party.
I hardly know what I'm doing, but it's relaxing and fun!

Bag (Zara), Scarf (Alexander McQueen)

Today, I wanted to spice up a simple leather bag with a little McQueen :)

This is a short post, but it is small things like this that make me a bit happier throughout the day.

Must-Have Bags for Every Girl

As a girly girl, I love handbags, and I admittedly purchase way too many of them! I'm also very guilty of spending a little too much money on them as well. Anyway, I decided to make a post of must-have bags that I believe every girl should own!

On the left, I put bags that I lust over. These are pricey but worth the investment. On the right are bags that are less expensive but definitely worth the money (i.e., "musts").

I believe an “every day” bag needs to be a basic color (i.e., black or brown). Then, you can literally match it with anything you are wearing. Plus, with the style combinations today, mixing black & brown is definitely a “DO!”
Today, leather is expensive, but in my opinion, if you invest in an every day, leather bag with a larger price tag, it will last forever, honestly. So, I recommend resisting the urge to purchase every cute bag you see, and sock that money away towards a designer, heavy duty bag.  Now, if whether your price limit is $400 or $2,000, I have listed two options that I believe are both classic and beautiful.

The Louis Vuitton Artsy MM is gorgeous. I personally own this myself, and I adore it. There is nothing skeptical about an authentic Louis. They will last forever. Although the Artsy can be quite pricey (a little over $1,600), the investment is worth it. Louis Vuitton also has more everyday bag options that are not as expensive. For example, below I will talk about the Louis Vuitton Neverfull.

On the right is the Coach Madison Leather Lindsey Satchel ($398). My friend owns this beautiful bag. It is perfect for everyday. You can wear it on your arm or on your shoulder. It is durable and all leather – Definitely a “must."

Next, I think a tote is another bag that a girl needs. The Louis Vuitton Neverfull (around $900) is a bag I lust over. I don't personally own one, but I think it is perfect to fit everything that is needed on a daily basis. On the right, I picked a peach colored Tory Burch tote, but I believe any Tory tote is a great investment and much less than a Louis (ranging around $250).

A versatile clutch is also a necessity for going out during the evening or running errands. On the left is the gorgeous Yves Saint Laurent 'Belle de Jour' Metallic Envelope Clutch ($595). Gorgeous, Gorgeous, Gorgeous! That's all I have to say.
On the right is an Asos Leather Portfolio clutch. They have a wide range of colors and designs at reasonable prices (around $80). These clutches certainly don't break the bank, and they are still so pretty!

The next two types of bags (above) are somewhat similar but both so fun. Everyone needs a crossbody, because sometimes it is just impossible to hold your bag when free hands are needed (like while shopping). On the left is the Rebecca Minkoff M.A.C ($295). I love these clutches. Gorgeous detailing, beautiful gold chain, and she has almost every color and several designs to choose from. It can also be a doubled as a clutch :) On the right is the Juicy Couture Blueprint Hazel ($188). A little less expensive and a bit more casual.
Amazing green color, too.

Finally, Satchels are a huge staple these upcoming seasons, and neons are very popular! I LOVE the Proenza Shoulder 'PS1,' but it has a large price tag for such a bright colored bag (over $1500). There are many colors to choose from, though, and it is very pretty.
On the right is a more reasonably priced satchel from Cambridge Satchel Company (around $200 depending on size). This satchel also comes in various colors and designs. These satchels are absolutely adorable!

I may be a tad obsessed with bags..

Do you own any of these bags? Are there any others that you believe are must-haves?

I snatched up this striped blouse at Old Navy just a couple weekends ago. I never shop at Old Navy. So, I was really surprised to find such a cute top- It was an AMAZING price, too. I wish I could find all my clothes on extreme clearance.

Closet Organization

I spent quite some time organizing my closet. Although, none of my pants, jackets, shoes or dresses fit in it.. Regardless of my over abundance of clothing items, I decided to share just a few tips that I find helpful with organizing my small walk-in closet!

A tip I find extremely useful (and saves a lot of time in the morning) is color coordinating my tops. I also try to separate long sleeves and short sleeves. Then, the short sleeved tops wont become lost.

I also found storage boxes at HomeGoods. So, my bags would stand up straight, and I can still see them. I put the ones I use less often on the top shelf and the ones I use closer to arms reach.

I used an old belt hanger to hang my scarves and crossbody bags. Then, they are easy to see and not folded and hidden in a storage container.

I believe adding a chandelier to any room (including a closet) can make any girl feel like a princess.
It is also fun to use shopping bags from your favorite designers to store items that you can't seem to part with.

Even though it is hard to see in the above photos, I decided to hang certain bags on pretty, fabric hangers. It saves room and also keeps the bags from falling over on the shelves.

I also picked up this closet organizer at HomeGoods. I love that I can fold my heavy sweaters, tanks, and clutches in it. This gives way more room than just hanging sweaters and tanks. Also, everything can be seen perfectly!

These hooks were found at Bed Bath & Beyond. I find them perfect for hanging dainty scarves, jewelry, and belts. Again, easy to see, and also brings a little character to my closet. I tried to color coordinate some of my items to make everything look a little prettier. :)
I think this is STAPLE for every closet, bedroom, or bathroom. This jewelry case holds all of my jewelry and then some. I love it, because the top opens with a mirror inside, and none of the jewelry becomes dusty. There are also separators for rings and earrings. The doors on the side have hooks for necklaces as well. The drawers are plentiful, which can help store other items, too.

If something like this can't fit in your closet, which I am sure will happen when I move out of my parents' home, it can double as a night stand.

Finally, I put a pretty spin on a regular cork board. I like displaying cards, pictures, and little paper mementos on it. It brightens my day, and beats storing all these pretty things in a drawer.

I still need some more organizing ideas. If you have any, please let me know!

Birthday Fun

In the beginning of my month, it was my grandma's 80th birthday. We threw her a surprise party, and my whole family was there! I have a very large family and a lot of cousins. It was so nice to all be together.

Took a quick mirror picture.
I'm wearing a faux fur coat (Zara), a pearl blouse (Trouve), and jeggings (A&F).
I've worn this same arm party in a previous post, but I am in love with it!
My nail are painted Rose Insolent (Chanel) & clutch by Sidney Ann (Etsy).

Glitter Booties (Urban Outfitters) & Rose Gold Necklace (Tiffany & Co.)

Instagram Love

Here are just a few photos I posted on Instagram recently. I am addicted to this app. If you have an iPhone, you have to check it out, but keep in mind that you may be glued to your phone (if you aren't already). Happy Thursday!

I realize these photos are in random order, but some of them are purchases I made last weekend (i.e., Kate Spade oxfords, Kenneth Cole gold link bracelet, and Rebecca Minkoff cosmetic case). All of these purchases were found at T.J. Maxx - LOVE that store!
Also, a beautiful Valentine's Day gift from my love, who is currently serving in Afghanistan. The lovely white Balenciaga <3 <3
