Neon Pink Pants

Cream Blouse (Trouve), Neon Pink Cropped Denim with Belt (Target, Other Colors, Here), Gold Oxfords (Kate Spade NY), Silver Necklace, Ring, and Beaded Bracelet (Tiffany & Co), Other Bracelets (Handmade), Watch (Burberry, Here), Standard Poodle (Not for sale!).

These photos were taken with my iphone. My mom was a little preoccupied this morning. Therefore, some are rather blurry. grr :/

After work today, my pup and I were cuddling on the couch. It is rather cold in Chicago today - We needed to keep warm!

Anyway, I couldn't even wait 24 hours before running to find neon pink denim pants. To my excitement, they were in stock at Target! My size, hanging all pretty and pink on the rack. On some level, I believe they were waiting for me ;) haha.
Needless to say, I purchased way more than anticipated.. some books, magazines, whitening strips, toothbrushes, a skirt, blazer, and top on clearance! I just couldn't help myself. Target is too fun.

I'm in love with these pants! I am not too keen with pairing colors with other colors. So, I opted for a cream oversized blouse. This belt came with the pants, and it actually looks pretty cute!
I was really happy with my purchase(s).

Tomorrow is Friday! I have a meeting for my internship all day, and then I start everything next week. Hopefully I won't slack too much on the posts, but there is much fear in me about not finding time for sleep :/

On that note, I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!

It's a Neon Takeover

Clockwise from Left:

I am on a HUGE neon kick lately, and I never thought I would love it this much..ever.
(Right now, I'm wearing a neon yellow shirt.)
I experimented with some neons in a previous post, here
I had so much fun with it!
I usually go for muted colors or no color at all. I think because when I was younger (as I'm sure many of you can relate to) I used to wear bright colors constantly. I had bright yellow jean shorts, lime green everything, bright orange, etc. Then, when I was "too old" or "cool" to wear those clothes anymore, I became disgusted with them. Therefore, I was originally disgusted with this 80's come back. However, now I am obsessed, and I came to the realization that there is a big difference between bright colors and neon.
There's just something very enticing about neon clothing and accessories these days, and I want. it. all.
As of late, I am on the hunt for some neon bracelets and pink neon jeans.
The colorblock tan and neon pink satchel would also be lovely to own, too.
I need to make a run to Target today for some  'necessities.' Maybe I will covet some neon items while I am there, because we all know going into Target for toothpaste means coming out with 4 bags of goodies.

Happy Wednesday :)

Mixing Patterns

Mint Pleated Top (Nordstrom Rack), Striped Tank (Old), Leggings (Black House White Market), Cardigan (C/O Piperlime), Leopard Tote Bag (Rebecca Minkoff), Leather Flats (Coach), Jewelry (Vintage, Gifts, Old).

I took these photos last week. It was a cooler day out, but I still wanted to wear a more summery look. Now it's super hot outside!
I've seen a lot of ladies mixing different prints/patterns, and I wanted to do the same in more muted way. So, I opted for a striped tank with a leopard tote. I found this Rebecca Minkoff tote at Marshall's for an amazing price! I was in a comfortable mood this day, and I decided on leggings that look more spring-foward, instead of pants or jeans. At the last minute, I threw on my favorite cardigan. I love how it is covered in sequins but is still very casual.

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend and Happy Memorial Day!

Tribal Print

White Sequins Cardigan (Piperlime), Grey T-Shirt (Target), Skinny Jeans (Nordstrom Rack), Tribal Print Belt (Handmade, Boutique), Snakeskin Clutch (Rebecca Minkoff), Black Flats (Coach), Silver Necklace and Bead Bracelet (Tiffany & Co.), Bracelets (Boutiques), Rings (Vintage), Sunnies (Burberry), Nail Polish (OPI, French Quarter For Your Thoughts)

I found this tribal print beaded belt in Colorado at a local boutique there, and I was so excited when I saw it! It makes a simple t-shirt and jeans unique, and it also made the sequins cardigan less girly and a tad bit rustic. I threw this outfit together at the last minute, and it's not too bad - a very comfortable look.

I am going to my cottage in Michigan for the long weekend and won't be back until Monday night!

I hope everyone has a safe & FABULOUS holiday!

Statement Necklace

Last week I posted about a statement scarf. Even though the weather has been on and off warm/cool the past few weeks, the hot days are becoming very hot, and a scarf sometimes is not plausible.
In the summer, when the weather is beautifully warm, the days are busy, and there isn't much time to throw together a creative ensemble, a bright, big necklace is the perfect alternative to dress up a simple t-shirt and jeans (or trousers for work).

I found these affordable necklaces above, and I love them! Specifically, I have been looking at Bauble Bar, Anthropologie, and Forever 21. They have affordable, beautiful pieces that you can keep for a long time. However, I really want a nice piece from Henri Bendel, or of course, the most expensive pieces from Anthropologie. haha
I saw a beautiful neon pink necklace at F21 this past weekend, but to my dismay, it had a scratch or something on it! I was so disappointed. I will probably end up purchasing a necklace there, because they are so affordable (only about $10!!), and if I get tired of looking at it, I won't feel guilty about the price tag.

How do you feel about colorful, "loud" necklaces like these?

Disney Princess

Blouse (Nordstrom Rack), Skinnies (A&F), Skinny Belt (Tory Burch, here), Bag (Louis Vuitton Artsy, MM), Patent Leather Flats (Coach), Silver Ring (Tiffany & Co.), Other Rings (Vintage, Handmade), Bracelets (From Boutiques in Colorado and Vintage), Sunnies (Burberry)

The title of this post isn't saying that I am a Disney princess (Although, wouldn't that be amazing?!), but rather my blouse has a Cinderella theme on it! There are little pictures of a prince and princess, carriage, and little mice! I'm in love with this blouse. I bought it this weekend at the Rack. I could NOT leave without it.
I also just ordered this Tory Burch belt from Nordstrom a week or so ago, and I love it.. It makes a simple t-shirt and jeans looks so sophisticated. I love that belts are back in style now!

I find myself gravitating more towards casual, simple outfits, almost always, unless I have a special event to attend. When stalking numerous fashion blogs, I envy their dressy looks (i.e., Blair from Atlantic-Pacific, LOVE!), but I have recently come to embrace my every day, girl-next-door style.

Do you consider yourself to have more of a dressy style or casual?

Weekly Wish List & Summer Fun

From Left:

I may go shopping tomorrow, and there are a few items I had my eye on this week! I love the new Rebecca Minkoff color block wallets. There are different color combinations, and I want them all! Zappos.com has a ton to choose from. I may end up ordering one tonight. haha
I have also been really interested in cat eye sunglasses. I already have two pairs of nice sunglasses, but I love how classic and chic these look!
In a previous post I mentioned needing a watch. Unfortunately, there are many I love, and they are extremely expensive. I am not much of a watch person. So, I can't justify some of these price tags. However, this particular one from Kate Spade is soo lovely. I would love to see it in person. I also LOVE how there are actual numbers, which makes it so much easier to read (Yes, I can be a huge air head sometimes).
Finally, I have been in love with any Burberry button up since forever. One day I will make the purchase.. Maybe.

Today my doggy, Milo and I had a lot of bonding time! We went for a lovely walk with my friend, Mary. Then, we all went and got ice cream and went into a doggy store. She even bought him a poodle shaped cookie! He received so much attention from other people, and it definitely wore him out!
Top (Target, Old), Mint Shorts (F21, similar here), Flip Flops (A&F, here and the most comfortable flip flops ever, ever, ever!), Necklace (Tiffany & Co.)

Studded Shoes (Sam Edelman)

Nail Polish (OPI, I'm Indi-a Mood For Love)

I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend :)
