The Windy City

Blouse (T.J. Maxx), Belt (Steve Madden), Pants (Guess, old), Necklace (F21), Sunnies (Chanel), Flats (Tory Burch), Bracelets (T&Co, Francesca's, and Vintage).

Bag (Balenciaga)

Well, I wanted to take some pretty pictures outside, but I failed to remember that I live in a south suburb of Chicago, and it is always windy this time of year...

I bought these pants years and years ago, and I they have always been huge on me. However, belts have become an increasingly important aspect of my wardrobe as of late. So, I decided to dig out the gray pants and try to rock them :)
I love the boyfriend feel, and I think the rhinestones on the back pocket are just too cute! Sticking with the boyfriend look, I paired the jeans with a baggy blouse and flats. It's a messy outfit, but indefinitely comfortable and perfect for yet another busy day!

I bought this necklace at F21 about a year ago, and it spruces up any simply, and let's be honest, boring outfit. I always get compliments on it, and I found it for about $8! I love that store!
Finally, I wanted to take a picture of my Balenciaga, because I think this bag is perfect for hectic days, and I like the combination of the ivory, gray, tan, and white with this look.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

P.S. - I apologize for my awful hair. My mom is coloring it today!

Inspired by Breakfast at Tiffany's

From Left:
Audrey Hepburn photograph
Vintage tea cup and saucer

After watching Breakfast at Tiffany's for the 10th time this week (my new favorite movie, btw), I instantly became obsessed with the fashion and overall design of the movie. I love Holly Golightly :)
I want to start collecting some antique tea cups to hold some rings and to decorate for a future china cabinet.
The pink birthday dress and coat Audrey wears in Breakfast at Tiffany's is amazing. I just want to stare at it. I wish I could find an affordable version  but no such luck so far . .
I have also been eyeing this Kate Spade perfume and Essie polish, and I have also been dying to buy a Chanel book!
Last but not least, this Tory Burch satchel is absolutely amazing, and it has this vintage feel that I just can't stop dreaming about!

I am praying to find time to take some outfit pictures this weekend.
Soon to come (fingers crossed)!

Get This Look

2. Printed Skort, $56

Before I talk about this look, I want to gush about how much I am in LOVE with Kourtney Kardashian's style. She always tries daring looks but always makes them cute and put together. She makes me want to step out of the box with some of her unique style pieces! I always remember the one episode of KKTNY where Kourtney is wearing a neon yellow blouse with a black tank underneath, and Scott tells her she looks like a bumble bee. Bumble bee twin or not, she looks adorable regardless. :)

Get Kourtney Kardashian's effortless, adorable look for less! I am about ready to buy everything on this page to recreate her look. I especially adore the skorts she is wearing. I found a similar pair from TopShop for a very decent price. Her statement necklace is the perfect accessory. Consequently, the one I found from Macy's is a little expensive, but I am willing to bet F21 or Francesca's has some for a more budget-friendly price! I also need to get my hands on those Michael by Michael Kors wedges. Finally, a simple loose top keeps the look girly but tones down the wedges a bit for a more everyday look.

I could make a ton of recreations of her outfts. I am just in awe <3

Instagram Shots

New Coach flats I just bought last weekend. They are so comfortable!

My beloved Balenciaga, nautical top, and a strawberry colored blazer I just picked up from F21. It's loose fitted but still looks put together.
I'm a Marilyn lover. These are two of about 20 framed pictures I have of this beauty (& I'm not joking haha).

My mom had put together this charm bracelet for me since I was little. I decided to add a Juicy bracelet she also bought me to the party.
There's something relaxing about painting my own nails

A perfect lazy night!
I'm such a girly girl. I love sparkles. You can't really tell in this photo, but the sweater fabric is a light pink. Found this baby at the J Crew Factory a couple years ago for an amazing price. It is still one of my favorite pieces.

T&CO cupcake necklace I received as a gift from one of my bests and a striped sweater I just couldn't resist!
My baby boo <3 He looks so cranky in this picture!

Rebecca Minkoff & a vintage scarf
A cozy sweater, leggings, and Burberry flats for a chilly day.
My favorite dinner. Dinner salad and salmon from Francesca's

I made this little card for my Boss's baby shower :)

Just some snapshots I've taken with Instagram over the past few weeks!
I have to keep busy while my boyfriend is still in Afghanistan. He only about 23 days left!!! :)

Get This Look

I saw Rachel Bilson's look on Pinterest, and I had to create my own version of her outfit on Polyvore. I titled it "Mixing Seasons," because I love how she paired booties with jean shorts and a short sleeved blouse with a blazer. It looks so chic and simple. I would pair the outfit with a clutch and very simple, dainty jewelry. I saw this vintage Louis Vuitton and fell in love. I would love this clutch! Obviously, a way less expensive black blazer can be found anywhere. I am definitely going to create this outfit when it's warm enough in Chicago to wear shorts!  I just need to first buy those booties ;)

Not Normal Chicago Weather

Blouse (Nordstrom Rack), Clutch (Juicy Couture), Tank (Nordstrom Rack), Jeans (A&F), Necklace (Vintage), Shoes (Old)

The weather in Chicago has been so warm, which is definitely not normal! Gotta say, though, I absolutely love it! However, it is hard picking out what to wear. I just recently bought this mint blouse at the Rack a couple weeks ago, and I couldn't wait another minute to wear it. I've seen mixes of pastel pink and green together, and I wanted to try it for myself.
On a side note, I would have paired this with nude heels, but I don't have any, and these were the only shoes that didn't hurt my already sore feet (walking too much in flats) :/

Absolutely loving pastels this season

Fashion Crush: Miranda Kerr

Miranda Kerr is my absolute fashion crush. Her style is so simplistic, minimal, and flawless! That jacket amazing, and her bag? I'm in awe. Not to mention, she is completely gorgeous.

Her baby is absolutely adorable and by far her best accessory. However, I cannot get over her handbags and shoes. When she incorporates colors into her outfits, they just pop!
Miranda's style fits the motto "less is more." I can't get over her impeccable , simple taste. I love how she recycles items, but yet every outfit looks completely different.

Raiding her closet would be my dream :)

More fashion "crushes" soon to come!!

A Shopaholic's Wish List

Alright, so as if I don't already have everything I could need and more, I still manage to make a new wish list in my head daily. However, when it came down to actually making this, I had a hard time thinking of things I REALLY wanted!..But I managed to find several items, and now I can't stop thinking about them! I believe in positive thinking. So, if I make this post. I will own them some day.. ;)

I really want any pastel blouse, sequin blazer, and glitter skirt. These particular ones just looked so pretty! On the other hand, I do want a pair of Christian Louboutins (especially in nude), and that beautiful Alexander Wang Rocco Leather Bag . .
The Kate Spade glitter mugs are so so cute. I also love this Chanel polish color. It reminds me of Tiffany's <3 , and I want a Tory Burch Iphone case, but I will not pay the price, and hoping I'll become lucky and find it on sale!

Sorry for the short post, incredibly hectic week. School is taking over my existence!

Early Spring Arrival

Cardigan (Express, old), Scarf (Tory Burch), Bag (Kate Spade), Leggings (Victoria's Secret), T-Shirt (Target), Sunnies (Burberry, old), Rain Boots (not pictured, Burberry)

It has been so gorgeous in Chicago recently! I know it is a little early to expect this for the next month or so, but a few beautiful days is better than none! I wanted to take some shots outside, because the sunlight makes everything look so much better. It was a little windy yesterday, and my hair kept flying in my face, oh well!

I just recently got this bag online during the Kate Spade sample sale. I couldn't pass it up! It is so big, and fits everything I need. The saddle colored leather is breath-taking, in my opinion.
I also returned my Burberry scarf, because it was unraveling (grr) and bought this Tory Burch wool scarf instead. It is so soft and beautiful.
I'm cheesin' in the last picture, because I am so happy it's finally warmer out! ;)

Oh, and obviously I wanted to dress incredibly comfortable for a Monday. Why not?

Casual Neutrals

V-neck tee, Target, $10
The A & F jegging, Abercrombie & Fitch, $54
Black flats, ASOS, $27
Satchel, Kate Spade, $177
Wool scarf, Tory Burch, $185

I've been experimenting with colors lately, but neutrals will always be my staple. Slipping on some skinny jeans, classic flats, your favorite scarf, dainty jewelry, and a classic, leather bag can make all the difference and look just as chic!
I picked out some of my favorites above. Any flats you adore are a must, and these ASOS ones are very affordable! I also love A&F jeggings. They fit me the best, wash up very well.
Most important for a casual, simple look is a t-shirt. You can't go wrong with any of the v-necks at target. They're so cheap, too! I have one in nearly every color (lol). For spring, throwing on a neutral blazer is simple and makes your look a little more put together. I am adoring white blazers!
Lastly, I just ordered the Tory Burch wool scarf above. I can't wait for its arrival :)
P.S. - isn't that Kate Spade bag adorable?!

Pink & Orange

Blazer (Similar, Here), Sparkled V-Neck (Express), Coral Belt (J Crew), Jeggings (A&F),
Colorblock flats (Calvin Klein), Bag (Kate Spade)

This week has been fantastic, although very different from former spring breaks, I am still having a wonderful time with family, friends, and my doggy!
I decided to take a few shots in my dining room before dinner with my very good friend, Mary! I love my mom (my free, novice photographer) for snapping these for me. Also, for having impeccable decorating taste! It makes for very pretty pictures.
I just bought these Calvin Klein flats last weekend. I LOVE them, and they are so comfortable. Flats usual rub on my heel or tops of my feet, but these don't at all! They're not bad looking either ;)
I wanted to mix pink and orange together, because well, why not?! I think it ended up looking really fun! I made sure to not wear much color in the rest of the outfit (besides the belt).

For once, I didn't have to wear a coat! I am so excited for spring!
xx Katrina

Does anyone know of black flats that are inexpensive and pain-free? Please let me know!!
